Meh

Verizon isn't any better than AT&T in rural America, in fact it sucks in most cities because most cities are AT&T regional territory - at least in the Midwest. Verizon is NOT rushing to replace CDMA or 3G in rural America, nor will it, as rural is a cash cow. Why else would you pay $0.10 to $0.25 to text when it costs the company nothing to send or receive?

It makes no difference where you buy your phone. There are only two choices: CDMA or GSM. Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Straight Talk, TracFone, google, blah, blah, blah all use one or the other.

The first cell phone that uses both interchangeably, and can be used during travel out of the U.S. will be the best phone ever made. Ain't gonna happen. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ !
