| [Rant] Upgrade services link, really comcast? I just noticed a link on the top of the comcast.net site that says "Upgrade Services"... I am signed in to my comcast account on the site, and clicking that link takes me to a page that lists about 10 offers...... FOR NEW CUSTOMERS ONLY!
How do you "upgrade" if you are a new customer? *scratches head*
seriously comcast? |

 | well to give a current customer "upgrade services" as a link then say all the choices to upgrade to are for new customers, that's just stupid *LOL* |

| reply to neufuse I just signed in and saw the same. Saw no offers for existing customers. Just the ones for 'new'.
On a side note, upgraded some services a couple months ago, and the Comcast site appeared much different then. To me, it has always been a little wonky.
At that time, had the 'old' customer promotions open on one tab, in another tab, promotions offered by authorized third party sellers and then called Comcast. I also had the most recent rate sheet they had sent out with billing and a couple of fliers/inserts. After some wheeling and dealing got a better deal than anything listed online.
Sadly that describes my interactions on upgrading or downgrading over the last 10 years or so. The Comcast site is not an E-commerce site. |

 | reply to neufuse Comcast upgrade policy hasn't changed. You can only upgrade your package if you are paying more.....or get an overzealous tech that knows how to bend the rules. |

| that makes no sense, if you "upgrade" your package would you not be paying for more better services to start with?... I was expecting stuff on that like like oh you have starter cable, upgrade to preferred for more money but still a discount for x months... or upgrade to blast internet for x dollars more for x months... etc...etc |

1 edit | Hit the start shopping tab. At that point you can pick promotions available to existing customers They have to know who you are before they can tell what promos are available to you. Imagine how cluttered the page would be if they went with if you have this this is available and if you have this that is available. People dont tend to comprehend things done like that. So in short log in with who you are and they should see what is available to you. |
|
 | you obvisouly didn't read what I wrote... I was logged in, and it gave me new customer deals |

| I dont mean logged into the comcast site. Did you hit start shopping and give them your social security number? If you dont get anything it supposed to mean nothing is available to you. Like when i log in and start shopping it only gives me a hd add on for 10 bucks. But thats because i already subscribe to the highest tier so nothing is available to me but hd service and bundle packages. |

| reply to neufuse Just went thru it and its not even giving me my hd add on anymore. Its giving me non promotional pricing thru out all the offers. No where does it say new customers after logging in. working fine and the way its supposed to here. I didnt give them my social tho i simply went with the log in option. like you say you did. Also tryed it with the new customer address log in and the site clearly picked up that i was a current customer by address. |
|
 | reply to neufuse I just did it again, and it's still giving me new customer promotions.... |
