USG50 Bandwidth guarantee/limitingDo I need to license App Patrol to do bandwidth limiting/QoS on the USG50? |

No, you don't need App Patrol license. See BWM configuration page and embedded BWM help on how to configure. |

Thanks. If I just want to make sure my Sprint Airave Femtocell (VoIP App) gets priority I just need to check the "Enable Highest Bandwidth Priority for SIP Traffic" Box? |

I found the SIP setting to be entirely ineffective; we still had QOS issues and I eventually had to abandon the SIP trunks for a PRI. |

Well, there is more to it then just enabling the check box. - the BWM is managed for egress traffic only - you need to set proper egress speed for your WAN interface first in order for any BWM to be effective See » Re: How do I limit bandwidth to a specific workstation? |

Interesting. And disturbing. I actually called ZyXEL U.S. support about it and was told, very specifically, "Check the box. That's all there is to do and all you can do."
That said, I did set the inbound and outbound speeds as well. We really, really need to get to a point where we have across the board QoS for things, like SIP/VoIP, that need it. |

Yes, checking the box and setting the WAN interface speeds should be enough for SIP only. For other services you need to do it manually as per my earlier example thread. |
