This morning I am seeing consistent 13MB / 100mbit with the Ultimate tier. It shocked me enough that I came here to see what was going on! |

I'll have to see when I get home from work. I only have preferred with an SB6120, but I was pulling around 20 down consistantly and around 3.5-4 up. And that is after power boost wears off. |

I guess I need to plug in my SB6580 to get more than 100Mb/s. This 6120 only does 4x4 bonding. |
|
|
Nick, can you post your speedtest with the 6580? I have a 6120 and the max I get off Cox's test is 137 mbps. Should I look at spending $120 to get the 6580? (Just because I want the most I can get ) If I buy the 6580, does it require anything on Cox's side to get it working? Or do I just replace the 6120 with it and it works? |

If you still prefer to have separate router/modem the SB6141 is also an option for Motorola. |

You have to call them and provide the modem's MAC for provisioning. I'll set it up in the next couple days and post an update.. |

Does anyone with a SB6141 have increased speeds today? My 6141 rebooted overnight but same speeds as yesterday. |

I am the one who posted the scottsdale --> LA speed. I had a 6120, and I went and bought the Cisco 3010 from the cox store this morning. It doesn't have a built in N router which suits me fine as I have the buffalo AC router/bridge combo in my home anyway. In short, yes you have to get a newer D3 modem that is capable of 8x4 bonding. Just for a real world throughput demonstration, I downloaded wow this morning in about 10 minutes. |

Here are the new speeds from the Cox Phoenix web page. Interesting they only quote Powerboost speeds! |

Well that is cox's new thing, they are now only using with powerboost speed's. They are no longer listing without powerboost speed's for there tier's. I asked about this just about a month ago. |

My speeds went up, but I no longer getting my 3 IP address's. SB6120 and I am seeing dnlds speeds of 40 - 50 MGb and uploads at 11-20 Mgb.
Called Cox and they are telling me that they have a DNS issue, but what does that have to do with DHCP Ip adddress's |

Thanks, that server sits on the Cox network in LA, CA, I used it to determine sustained download speeds in the past.
Any recommendations to test large file downloads? |
|
|
Well its possible a routing issue between me and that server. I just know I can download at around 13MB's, and I couldn't even download at 1MB's on that file. |
