Does verizion still mail out the older HD boxes with the clock on it. the sliver ones. non dvr.

Yes, the 7100/6100 series ...
There is no "guarantee" which box you will get ... You may have better luck walking into a VZ store & asking for a silver box vs ordering by mail ...
