Albany/Clifton Park issues?I live in Chicago and have Comcast, but connect a VPN in Clifton Park on TimeWarner. It went dead about 11:07AM ET on Thursday. When I do a traceroute, it dies after it hits ae-2-0.cr0.chi10.tbone.rr.com. Normally, It would connect to clftnpkny (or something like that), then the VPN.
At that site, they have also lost links to several other sites, so I am wondering if there is a major outage at the Albany or Clifton Park routers? |

It has been very windy here today, and had several power outages at home, each a few minutes long. Took my modem some time to re-register. |

Hmm, been having erratic problems for last 3 days; live in Schenectady. VPN into work is impossible. They say the line if fine and connection speed test come out fine? |

After 2 short ( less than 5 min) power outages between 10 AM and noon Thursday, things seem normal for me. Line monitor TWC Malta, NY

I live in Albany/Watervliet and have been experiencing severe packet latency and loss. I'm getting 20-1000ms to the gateway my modem is connecting to. I have a Ubee wideband modem service 30/5
Had several techs and now waiting on new about the tap and head end |

It has gone out again this morning. Same dead spot in the traceroute. Below is the normal path. It stops responding at hop 10.

I don't quite understand this. I can ping and traceroute the hop 10 and 11/12 addresses. But, if I try the final VPN address, it dies at hop 10.
Could it be a router address table issue? I'd think if the modem itself was offline due to a signal issue, it would make to all but the last address? Or does it die earlier if the modem is offline? |

Pings to my gateway(1st Hop) |
Ran a smoke test: » /r3/sm ··· 437beb1eAlso TW Line maintenance techs came out and stated they didn't see a problem. The supervisor is diligently working with me one on one so I hope to have the issue resolved in a month, but the network guys haven't responded to him. Look at my ping to my gateway |
