Re: [NV] Las Vegas Speed Increase?

Still getting only 2 Mbps upload on Preferred - did 1 hard reboot of modem so far. Maybe try again and think positive thoughts? Any other voodoo magic to try?

Is there any kind of cake I can send you CoxVegas to check on mine?
I've rebooted my modem 3 times today my download has been upgraded but upload still only 2 channels and 2mb up :P
I have a dpc3010 which is 8x4 so should work at the new premier speeds :P

I'm not sure what the "reset to factory defaults" does on my SB6141, but I figured it was worth a try and did it. Upload speed unchanged at a barely 300 Kb/s (2.3 Mbps).

Wow, this is fast.

I'm on SOHO Business, upgraded to the SB6141 last week, been getting 8 channels bonded down and 2 up, speeds are 31Mbps down and 15-20 up per speedtest.net. Don't know if the business tier will be upgrading speeds like residential did. Not that it matters much since I'm past the 28x4 I'm provisioned for (I wouldn't mind 50Mbps downloads though).

Left the modem unplugged overnight - still slow this morning after plugging back in.

If you guys are on a tier that has been upgraded and you are not seeing a speed increase you will need to call in to our customer care folks and have them look at your account. They can either fix the issue manually for you and/or explain why you weren't upgraded.

Short explanation... If there was an issue with your account during the config upgrade process you were not changed. Hope that helps...

Fail fail fail fail fail.... I am sorry but the 4 support reps I called had no idea what they were doing, they just kept asking me to restart my modem and computer. I explain a little further and one tells me I my SB6120 modem is a docsis 2 and I cannot get 50mbs. Facepalm... I do not get upset easily but I am at my end with this.

That's too bad. I use the SB6120 and the new speeds work great for me.

Called support myself. Tech had me reboot modem / router even after explaining that i did this about 5-6 times since yesterday morning with no avail and I only had 2 channels up anyhow.

But I did it (you really never know if it works hehe).
Still nothing, he's sending a tech out later today to see if there may be a different problem.
Will keep you guys updated, perhaps my problem is the same as many others and any solution the tech finds might help you

After calling tech support and asking them to do a reprovision on my modem, my speeds went up! For some reason my 3.0 was blocked from updating.

Currently on a Cisco DPQ3212 Docsis 3.0 modem.

Old speeds were 27 down and 10 up for premier

after reprovision

i was told today that my current promo for premier internet is conflicting with the new code for the free upgrade

he submitted a ticket to corporate since he could not override this

he said i may have to pay extra $10 a month in order to get the upgrade so if that is the case so much for a "free upgrade"

*************UPDATE*********************

i was finally able to get the speed upgrade it took 15 calls to Cox but i finally got it

and here is my speed after a fresh reboot of all of the equipment
