I just don't buy into the hype that some guy sitting at 30ms is really going to outplay me by some detectable margin.

Most online games nudge their timing by some amount, so even if you have a 30 ms connection to them, it treats it like it's 200 ms anyway to level to playing field.

I'd also give it a shot, but find out how bad the connection is at first.

if you're sitting at 600ms and it takes it to 200ms, it's totally worth it

But if you're sitting at 200ms and it takes it to 120 --- not so worth it.
