| Need a new Graphics card question about PCi slots My Nvidia 9800 series graphic card has finally given up the ghost, will not load drivers for some reason, even old ones. What I need to know is I see there is PCi-Express 2, 2.1, and 3.0 I have a ASUS M2N4-SLI motherboard, AMD X64 5600 CPU, Win8 etc. The description of the PCi Slots are as follows:
2 x PCI Express x16 slot with NVIDIA® SLI technology support, at x8, x8 speed 2 x PCI Express x1 2 x PCI 2.2
Which PCI card type can I use PCI 2, 2.1, 3.0 ??
This PC is getting somewhat long in the tooth but I would like to keep it going for a little longer.
Thanks in advance. -- I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man's reasoning powers are not above the monkey's. - Mark Twain in Eruption |

| Time for a new system, I managed to get it going the driver upgraded but the screen was dark and flashing so you could not see what was going on I waited a 1/2 an hour and rebooted and everything was OK. Now I can spend my money on a new ASUS based system -- I am quite sure now that often, very often, in matters concerning religion and politics a man's reasoning powers are not above the monkey's. - Mark Twain in Eruption |
