I have one, but the crystal element has been replaced with a pair of Heil elements (narrow and wide freq response), and a switch to choose between the two.

| Owned several. But the one I keep is a UG8 stand that I won at a CB Break in the 70s. Added a TU Kit to it to bring my station up to "Big Strap" standards.
Then I swapped the cord for a blue cord from a dead Turner M+2.
Highlight of tacky was an old telephone bell mounted to the back of the D104 head and a piece of RG8X center conductor taped to the switch bar that ended in a ball of solder for a fake Browning Eagle *PING* every time I keyed it up. |

I have one of the un-amplified versions sitting on the shelf. Needs an element, and I am not sure what to get to replace it. I bought the mic used to go with my Yaesu Ft-101ZD, but I'm not even sure the damn thing will work! |
