So far (i.e., after only a few hours), that is what it looks like, though I think the 22 may drop to 20 over time. Here's part of the email I received from Comcast this morning:
Dear Valued Customer,
Great news! We've increased your Internet speed!
Now the download speed on your Performance Internet service is up to 33% faster with speeds up to 20 Mbps and we have doubled your upload speeds up to 4 Mbps.

Yeah been seeing those adds up here in Roseville/Sacramento for about the past week or two myself. Nothing stated when its going to happen though. If the past holds true we are usually one of the later markets to get upgrades behind the bay area. |

Still no upgrade here on the E-Town PA system. The website has been changed to reflect the new 20/4 speeds on Performance, and reps are saying that it's 20/4, but I was still getting 16/2 as of this morning.
I ended up going with 50/10 today, but thought I'd give one last update. |

I wonder if/when they'll fix this PB on Performance. I'm not complaining though :P. I originally had issues when the upgrade came with 100 kbps upload but I contacted support and they fixed over live chat . |

UPDATE
I just called to get upgraded to Extreme 50 (I figured I would sub for a month and then go back to Blast while retaining same speeds)
The lady was super awesome and seemed very knowledgeble. She was jealous of me having the X1 box and we chit chatted a bit and she told me how the box has 4 tuners but that Comcast hasn't enabled them yet cuz they are waiting the trial over other cable companies and the Genie Hopper, something about that. Anyways, she confirmed with me that they got the memo on Tuesday that the speed upgrades are rolling out NATIONWIDE and will be complete BY April 1st.
I'm still on old blast speeds though so i'm thinking maybe it takes 24 hours or so for the changes to take effect. Also just as I imagined, no truck roll was needed. |

The "Genie" (aka the HR34) is a Directv receiver.
The "Hopper" is a Dish Network receiver. This is the one that lets you automatically skip commercials in recorded programs. |

And also, if you change speed packages it doesn't take 24 hours to see the speed increase. Should be instant after they push the correct config file to the modem. |

How do I check which "provisioning file" my modem/gateway (SMCD3GNV) has?
Also, how is it that you "force" it to reprovision? Do you have to reset it or just disconnecting from power outlet and connecting again will do it?

Don't believe the config file will change as the upgrade is to the service you already have. The upgrade is in the works as where I live (Redlands) the downstream is already pumped up to 100mb. and they have been working on the upstream. May have to power cycle the modem to see the new speeds. I have the Extreme 50 Package. BTW rough loss last night for the Canes DiffProbe release. January 2012. Shaper Detection Module. Connected to server 213.244.128.168. Estimating capacity: Upstream: 10180 Kbps. Downstream: 90828 Kbps. The measurement will last for about 2.5 minutes. Please wait. In Atlanta the other day I heard a radio commercial from Comcast claiming 60% speed increase on most of their tiers. Did anyone in GA get these increases? My Blast is still at 25mbps. |
