Re: [Speed] Speed increase. Powerboost gone?

Please keep posts like this in the appropriate stickied threads. If you don't know which thread, IM me.

In this case there is a specific stickied topic where reports should be made about the Blast speed upgrades, so they get summarized in the first post in that topic and become of some value to others. A topic like this just goes all directions and is too big and unorganized to add value to most folks.

Re: the insider March rollout schedule that ignores vast areas of the country...

Yup, that doesn't help people who live in Portland OR. BTW I rebooted my modem last night and got jack and squat. Still at 16 down/2 up.

Which is what I stated from the beginning if you go back a few pages and read My second post with my speeds was a response to someone else.

Has anyone seen any information for the Houston/Spring, TX area?

I am moving to the 77388 zip code and am curious to find if they are already experiencing the faster speeds or will be soon.

Thanks!

You guys in Livermore have had the upgrade for a couple days right?

I don't know about you guys out in Oakley but a handful of people here in the yoch including myself were out of service for about 45mins this morning. Checked the speeds and they were the same so it was probably a fubar somewhere.

Resetting your router may not be necessary. I'm using the TM722G modem and all I did was hold the reset for about 15 seconds. When it came up, new speeds were there.

First test was 82mbps. It's going to be somewhat disappointing to see power boost go in the near future. :/

Done with the forums for now. See everyone again when Blast is bumped to 100mbps a year from now. :P

How much of a noticeable difference will I notice going from 16mbps to 20mbps? I play Xbox Live, watch movies in HD on Netflix, web browse, DL contents from the Xbox Live marketplace, watch Youtube videos, Twitch.TV, Justin.TV.

I get 16 sustain rate, 20 or more with PB.

I can tell the increase from 12/2 to 17/3. I'd love it if we got bumped to 2x/4 but business class is usually way after residential.

I would love the increase too but can wait since 17/3 serves our purpose really well, such that any increases will just be icing on the cake....

I wonder why they make biz users suffer a little when it comes to speed upgrades...

Got it here this morning in Macomb,MI. Speedtest was showing 79/11. I have the Blast 30mbit package. Looks like I'm getting powerboost for now atleast. I now love my Comcast service and feel like I'm finally getting my money's worth.

No install fee for me. (I've got TriplePlay) But when 300 mbps comes out it will cost me $249.00 to install.

Are they going to allow you to get the 105/20 service without a $250 install fee? I'm on 50/10 currently, but I'd like 105/20, and Comcast phone reps say I need to pay $250 for the install even though my area has seen the speed bumps already.

I had 50/15 installed without the fee and then just got bumped to 105/20. Nice little boost in speed.
