It'd be ideal to have replacements at every location there is any networking equipment but ideal is not always attainable when balancing revenue and cost.
TSI Martin's latest post seems to imply Rogers has role to play in getting the downed router back up or replaced. Probably the equipment is housed in property owned by Rogers, meaning its Rogers rules as to how & when.
Not to mention, the weather is atrocious today if anything needs to be delivered any significant distance. |

This is a Cable only issue. The issue is specifically in London, ON. If you are not part of London or surrounding areas, then you shouldn't be affected by this. If you are on DSL, you should definitely not be affected by this.
If you are experiencing some kind of issue, please feel free to post in the »/forum ··· avdirect forum or call in & we'll gladly take a look at your situation.
Thanks, Martin
PS> Still no updates/ETA FYI, I am in London. I can ping 8.8.8.8 but when I try to use it as a dns server it doesn't work. |

Are there any issues in Ottawa? I am really finding the speeds really slow since this afternoon and pages are taking 5-10 seconds to load. |

I'd like to know if this is a few hour setback or a few day setback not just "ASAP." If I had known this was a 4+ hour setback 4 hours ago I would have scheduled accordingly and probably taken a nap. |

I had jumped the gun assuming it was a Teksavvy issue (based on my modem issues earlier this week). I got home and discovered my router was hung - after resetting my router, everything is fine here (Westboro area). |

They've just dispatched someone now?? Are you kidding me? |

Still out in south London. Access to some sites not others. No Xbox live is bugging me the most . And of course rogers just sent someone , that's how they do business . |

Why does it take so long for Teksavvy to engage Rogers? I really want to support Teksavvy and the "small" guys, but after a number of decent outages I'm questioning the value. . |

Well good news is I figured out how to USB tether my Android to my PC. I then plugged my PC into the WAN port on my router and bridged the connections. |

Oh I wouldn't even want to think about how fast I would chew through my 6GB of cell phone data plan if I were to tether and share with a network of computers and game consoles. |

Wind gets me unlimited. Although they reserve the right to throttle people after 5GB which is no biggy for me. |

Commissioners and Adelaide here.. Sites working but can't play my sweet, sweet League of Legends of Path Of Exile.
Rogers tech sent out hours ago to replace equipment and I'm guessing he can't figure it out or it wasn't the issue you thought it was.
I understand this stuff happens but damnit I'm off today and work tomorrow! |

Speaking of this. Does anyone play TF2 on Steam? |
|

Nothing like an outage to bring us all together. Someone should start a TSI gamers thread. I think there might have been one before. (there is a steam group too) |

It's nice to know it's just not me. I have minecraft to play and shows to watch. My life is so boring without the internet I am paying for. |
