Columbia, MD | fiber outage in NY? Hi -
I am being told there's is a major verizon fibre cut in NY. Is anyone else being impacted? Windstream & Verizon have NO ETA. Very nice considering my company spends $40k per month on Windstream/Verizon. All of our offices' high-speed internet going over comcast & fios are working fine $6k/month and 10x faster ..

kudos:22 | This might explain the high latency to many places that are being reported across a few forums for Verizon Northeast. I haven't heard of anything and I wish Verizon still had a network status page that I could find. |

Interesting. Can you post where you found that info? Was it very recent? The packet loss/high latency issues seem to have been going on for weeks for myself and many others on this forum. |

I've been told the fiber cut was in Columiba, MD, not NY. Still no estimate of when it will be restored. How did you hear the cut was in NY? |
