Re: [BC] Today - usage cut in half - 28 Days Later a $5 increasesaid by ruiner3:Why do people seem to have so much trouble reading Teksavvy's plans? Maybe they should fix their website (see my screen shot on the previous page) and train their reps better (I was told on the phone the first time I called unlimited only during those times indicated on the website)? |

We really need Google to set up shop and offer up a superior service and force telus and Shaw to compete and offer solutions for customers instead of trying to fleece them. |

Which tells you that Telus is lying about congestion and crap they say about having to half the allotment. How is it the re sellers can sell unlimited at a cheap price but the source which is Telus can not do so ?
We are not being told the whole story here. |

Unlimited as in no cap. The 75 GB cap plans are $5 / month cheaper. See how little the bandwidth actually costs? |

Why cant Telus do something like charging for blocks. say $5 for every 250gb you go over |

They started this war and once Open Media gets word of it there is nothing we can do but go forward and fight them head on hit them where it hurts. |

NO No Im talking about the crap The reps are saying " well you could always go to another ISP if you are not happy" that right there would be grounds to be fired If i advised a customer to go somewhere else. |

For some reason I thought you had been making a few over the top statements about Telus lately. My bad, I guess it was someone else.
You're right that is a different model, I didn't realize they listed which one it was. The UN40EH5300 goes for more like $600 so its probably costing them $300 - 400. |

WOW!!! is the mafia running Telus now? Wonder how they will justify this price difference.

Telus claims it retails for $850. No drama here, buddy. Link: » telus.com/content/great-deals/Click on "view more" on the TV promo, and look at MSRP. |

While I do agree with you, I SERIOUSLY doubt that TV is costing them more than $250 - $300. You need to tone back the drama a bit if you want to be taken seriously. There is no way it retails for anywhere near $850. » www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/pro ··· 8868en02Cutting the cap in half saves them a few dollars a month at most per customer that actually uses their connection. It has nothing to do with costs and everything to do with profits (TV, on demand and overage charges). Thing is, some of the customers this affects may end up switching away from them. |

Maybe Telus should remove the useless promotions and actually work on improving their services for their existing customers. Seriously, they are giving away an $850 HDTV for every new contract signed.
Use the 850 bucks to actually DECREASE rates and INCREASE the amount of usage per month. |

They know they the have us by the short and curlys. and that we have no choice but to cough up x-amount pet month if we want service. That's where they're wrong. See » openmedia.ca/switchYou have options. |

They know that today's North American society is dependant on internet services, so the ISP's take advantage of that and force the routine price increases down our throats.
Maximize your profits regardless off all the negative flack you receive. |

I have been thinking , to sign up for services with most ISPS these days you need to do a credit check which pretty much lets the ISP look into your personal and financial life. Well how about this if the ISP wants to sell a service to the public we should be able to know what the true costs of the services are and know exactly how what and why we are paying for. |

NVM saw your comment about the overages.
How about a model like this
The more you use your internet connection the cheaper your bill will be and the less you use it the more you have to pay |

"Hall said that, unlike some other internet providers, Telus doesnt actually charge customers overage fees for exceeding their caps. Users who exceed their caps are encouraged to switch to a higher service plan." Nothing in there says that TELUS is not going to start charging overages in the future. |
