I think you're right. I didn't have time to really scrutinize. THe lettering was pretty faded where the state/province would go and I could just barely make out three red lower case letters: "ali". I'm wondering if what I thought was an i was actually part of a b and it is an Alberta plate. There was some small print under the C about low emission vehicle.
