Cris, Im in the same area as you (near City Heights and SDSU) and I'm getting 4 bonded downstream and 4 bonded upstream for a while now (I would get 8 bonded downstream if I get your modem, I'm using the SB6120). I have Premiere like you too so I got 30Mpbs+ downstream and it capped right there same as you. And I got 25Mbps+ upstream. But if I do a sustained speedtest at »test.lvcm.com I only got 2.5Mbps+ upstream which is what Premiere should get. So do you think you can do a quick test at »test.lvcm.com/ and tell me your upstream after the 1 or 3minutes sustained test? Thanks you, looking forward for your result.

I would call COX and ask them for a D3 eMTA modem. you will have the DOCSIS 3 capable of bonding 8x4 and it has the phone service also. That may help your power levels because you won't need the splitter.

I got a free modem upgrade to a Cisco DPQ3212 from the Cox store the other day since I have their phone service and their Ultimate tier for internet. It immediately locked 8 downstream channels once installed. Got a new config file auto update from Cox that night. Signal levels are good and it seems to be stable and perform well so far.

Can't wait to see what this thing can do once the new speeds kick in. With lots of devices connected, we are a bunch of bandwidth pigs at my house. :p

I still see Cox trucks doing work all over the place for some time now so I think it's coming soon. After hearing of the new speeds in the upgraded markets I just upgraded my modem to a 8x4 capable one and ordered a new gigabit router and switch because I realized only 100mb fast ethernet on my home network wont cut it with the new speeds.
