Re: Does Telmex have Fiber Optic in Cabo San Lucas Telmex has had fiber optic cable in Cabo for at least 10 years but the connection from the Telmex service box to the house is still 2 pair telephone wire. Their DSL service is very reliable however because their hardware is overloaded, the maximum bandwidth purchased is not anywhere near the bandwidth you're going to actually receive. For example with 1MB service, which is the minimum they sell, the download speed is around .86mb but the upload is only .05mb. Hope this helps. |
