Nikon wins another one 
that's a good camera to start off, have one myself and I agree with the others, the camera is really irrelevant, it's the person behind the glass. you can produce a stunning image with a p&s with the right things in place

And another. My daughter (after some investigating) decided on a Nikon 3200 for herself as a Christmas gift for her first DSLR.
