| [AB] Prevent ZyXEL 7130 vdsl2 modem firmware updates I just got the above integrated gateway from Telus, have gone in with technician login/pass and set it to bridge mode so that it replaces my aging SpeedTouch modem.
Simple question: How do I now prevent Telus from remotely updating the firmware? |

| Sorry -- that was my brain on a really late night trying to get the thing to function in Bridge mode. (I'm trying to get an ALU 7130 VDSL2 Modem to replace this which is how the model got mixed.)
It's actually a ZyXEL VSG1432 VDSLS2 gateway.
The Telus tech that pointed me at the technician login/pass for this unit to put it into bridge mode also made it VERY clear that I needed to set it so no ISP pushed updates were possible.
Maybe I'm searching for the wrong thing but no one seems to even mention that...??? |
