 | [Cable] Slow Wired Internet on Dekstop, Fast Wireless on Laptops So it appears my desktop is experiencing some slow download speeds (wired connection), but the laptops in my house which use the wireless connection are getting great speeds. This just started yesterday, instead of getting 30-40mbps like I should, I am getting 15-18mbps.
I have ran a virus scan with MalwareBytes, which turned up clean. I have tried resetting the modem and router, power cycling the modem, etc...

• Did anything change just before the slowdowns? New SW, HW, etc.
• When you ran your speed tests where the laptops using the connection?
• Disconnect the router.
• Connect that box directly to the MODEM. Power cycle the MODEM and then the box. Rerun your speed tests. Any changes in speed?
