| dolphin temp files ok to delete? Ususally I delete tmp files without thought, but these tmp files are part of dolphin. rsync'ing last night, saw a lot of entries for /home/user/.kde/tmp-machine_name/dolphin_lots_of_nonsensical_letters/multi-gig_files I'm seeing multi-gig movie files that I haven't actually used in a long time. I believe they're safe to delete, but with dolphin, I'm wary. -- ~ Project Hope ~ |

| reply to EUS In answer to my question, deleting a big swath of files
rm -rfv /home/me/.kde/tmp-machine_name/dolphin*.tmp
resulted in freeing up more than 30gigs of drive space

| reply to Brano Interesting, I'll have to check this evening when I get home. This machine has only kde, and dolphin is the primary file manager. Some other file manager is called up when I download something in iceweasel, and browse the folder/files through iceweasel's download page. -- ~ Project Hope ~ |
