Re: Linksys WRT54GL not working 30-30-30 reset? Yes, it did assign me an ip off of the router, I forget what address it was. I also did a ping test for 192.168.1.1 and the router did respond. I had a similar problem with an old netgear router and I hooked it up-to a computer that was running xp and that got it to work (my computer is running vista). I tried bringing it up with IE and firefox and got the same result. Thanks |

 | reply to wayjac IP address is 192.168.1.157
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
If I type the default gateway in the browser, I keep getting "404 not found" |

 | Is it possible that the router is set to only allow secure connections? Try changing from http to httpS://192.168.1.1 and see if it responds. |

Since the ip allocated by the linksys is 192.168.1.157 the linksys ip address should be 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254
If the linksys ip is not one of the ip's above a ip scanner can be used to find the ip address |
