I received this: Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 192.168.100.1:8080 . I think my next step will be to contact some one in the 'comcast direct' message board in here and request one of these: »stevejenkins.com/blog/2012/12/re···e-modem/ . Hopefully...my 'local' comcast service center has one available ! Thanks SO much to EVERYONE for trying to help me get this resolved.
