| Garage door size I have two garage doors I need to replace. The house side is a standard 9' x 7'. The side were the garage was added on is 10' x 7', which seems like an uncommon size. Will I be able to buy this size at a place like Lowes or Menards? Or will I have to go through a actual garage door company? |

I got a new garage door through home depot over the summer. The company they used came out and measured to make sure they made the right size, even though it's a standard door. Pretty sure they sub to actual garage door companies so going through HD should be fine even if it's not standard. It'll just take longer. |

Keep in mind that the doors at the big box stores are at the lower end of insulation value. If you have living space above the garage, you may want to opt for a door that is better insulated. Otherwise, the doors from the big box stores are more than adequate. |

They did the same for me, it was a Coplay, but I did a install. If you just order it I think they drop ship to the store. You are probably better off contacting the door manufactures directly if you are going to self install. |

Clopay's factory is right in Troy, OH here about 5 miles from where I live.
They have center springs with springs on either side on top as well. |
