Posting to Spotweb? It's a public system that no one owns, are these posts takedown proof? What are the legal ramifications? Lets discuss this old but new "toolbox of goodness" -- It's hard to make something fool proof, when the fools already have a head start!
I just now heard of spotweb. It looks like they have a few english installation instructions that I need to play with. It based on php so it works for any operating system. The problem is that it appears to be the follow on for FTD, the dutch program that was shut down by BREIN. It will provide a list of what has been posted but won't deal with the DMCA take downs. Probably would be easier than everyone running their own copy of Newznab. But what we really need is some encoding system that will allow the content to remain on a server.
This encoding exists and is extremely easy if you run your own spotweb. CW shows, UFC content are all available using the proper settings. -- It's hard to make something fool proof, when the fools already have a head start!
