Fios dropping at least monthly, ONT stalling, been replaced We've had fios for business for quite some time, and its growing more frustrating by day.. Our connection is solid, good speeds etc... goes on day after day just fine, then suddenly it goes dead and rolls to our backup PRI line.
We have a sonicwall gateway 2040 pro device.. has dual inputs for rollover ability.
Resetting the sonicwall when it rolls over does nothing. I usually have to call verizon and have them reboot the ONT, even though from their perspective the ONT is just fine.
Their techs havent been that helpful.. usually their response is, we aren't sure what is going on.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what the fix might have been.
We had comcast at a previous location (which is unavailable where we are now) and never had this many issues (same gateway).
We have static ips for verizon.. just today i created an ARP route to the mac address of the fios line on the gateway (sonicwall).. i'm hoping maybe this will fix the issue.. i've heard there may be arp issues with sonicwalls.
