Re: HElP - death in the family - any airlines do anything? You have to call the airline directly, but really the only discount you get on international travel is waiving the 14 day advance purchase charge.
When we went to Mexico for the wife's mom we had to provide information to prove the death, attending doctor's name and hospital. Even then it was $750 for each round trip from Detroit, Michigan to Veracruz, Mexico.
