bsangs posted : Unfortunately it's a quirk that's been around since FiOS implemented Multi-Room DVR. Been happening to us for a couple years. Worse on some programs more than others, but rare is the recording from another device that doesn't have this happen once or twice. If we notice it seeming worse than usual, I'll just do a menu auto-fix on the boxes. Not sure if it cleans anything up, but it seems like a couple days pass with fewer blips after that.

anon posted : Anyone else there have this problem:

Have Multi Room DVR in house. While playing something from the DVR on other Set Top boxes around the house, it seems that often times, the playback will either pause or skip for about a second (sometimes with pixelation, sometimes not), and then the video just picks up regularly right after that.

This happens maybe once every 15-20 minutes - enough that its noticeable, but not bad (yet) to the point where it's a significant inconvenience.

One interesting note to add, which might help someone out there give me a clue as to what this problem is: When these pauses occur, if I were to go and rewind the playback over the same exact part - the pause/skip does not happen again there, and video and sound seems normal.

Has anyone experienced this? Any potential solutions? Vz tech advised to disconnect and reconnect coaxial cables, and see if it makes a difference. They mentioned potentially replacing the DVR BOX, but that is worst case scenario - since there's a lot of stuff saved on here that I don't want to lose!

Thanks.
