This is twice as fast as Tera or Fast copy..........copied a 40gb image from an external hd to another external in 16 min,unreal.

Well... I guess it is named appropriately then. I have been using y-Copy for a long time because I like the UI, but I will give this a try.

Couple months ago a blog that I visit tested several of these fast file transfers. Based on their findings I am now using FastCopy.

FastCopy...Multiple file copy test 1: 110 seconds

ISO copy test 2: 86 seconds

Network copy test 3: 79 seconds

ExtremeCopy..Multiple file copy test 1: 111 seconds

ISO copy test 2: 86 seconds

Network copy test 3: 262 seconds

Why not try them both out for your own satisfaction/curiousity...

No need you have answered the question although not sure if the network result discrepancy is due to your network setup or the software. If its the softwre then the software should be renamed,,,,,, ExtremeDUD

So for disk to disk fast or extreme copy look good. For most of mine, across network Richcopy is what I will trial.
