 | The reply you will get is the same that has been posted for quite some time. They are focusing on the east, and not much planned for the west in the near future. |

 | Without naming names directly, I did notice at least one company in the list shown here: »www.canadianisp.ca/cgi-bin/openm···?prov=bc that offers 50Mbit DSL in BC.
I'm also looking for an alternative to Shaw/Telus with speeds on the higher end. |
|
 | reply to jtl999 It would have to be VDSL2. Why TS claims to offer services in AB&BC anymore is beyond me. There's been no updates on services in quite some time and from a post I seen recently, there's no future plans either. |

 | reply to jtl999 Last I heard, they were just needing to figure out tariff's and pricing along with the new offering but there was no ETA on this. I am hoping for an update this as I would really like the 10Mbps up. |

I am hoping for an update this as I would really like the 10Mbps up. They made similar rumblings about offering higher tiers (i.e. we're looking into it, no ETA) for Shaw-cable-available areas after they moved to using docsis 3 modems, and that didn't go anywhere either. |

| reply to rustydusty I'm quite happy with my VDSL2 25/3 rusty. I'm also quite glad that they offer the unlimited service that they do here. Shaw and telus cannot touch the price which is great for the consumer. I also have ipv6 connectivity. It is a great product
I have had 99999 uptime since July and receive these speeds and pings 24/7

Ikarasu join:2004-01-09 Port Coquitlam, BC | reply to jtl999 I believe the last reply from them got a "Couple months" quote, for any changes to Telus / shaw. Look for the topic by me, I'm too lazy too... he said a specific month as a guess, so of course it's probably not accurate... But hey, at least we're still in their crosshairs... even if it's on the lowest priority.
I too would love to switch back to TS, but I need my 50M Ah well, I'm thinking of making the switch back anyways. I miss TS service.
[Edit] I got unlazy. »Any updates for out west?
the ETA / Guess was 3-4 months (Posted in January).
I want to try their Cable in my building... but I dont know if its congested or not. And I dont want to risk the huge startup fee... Maybe I'll try shaw first, then switch over. |
