News: UPnP flaws place millions of home networks in danger

Summary: Disable UPnP in your router and grab the latest firmware. Modern dd-wrt and TomatoUSB routers should be ok.

Test your router for exposure here:

Just tested my Hitron at grc.com and it didn't respond to the probes.

EDIT: Also, I find it hilarious that one of the tools used to test whether you are vulnerable requires Java to be installed (something I think most would agree is far worse, security wise, than having UPnP enabled!)

The port test for open ports will show the open port as stealth if the program that opened the port does not respond(as in: not running) to the probe.

Any router(or combo unit with fries) is junk, if it is default setup to reply to any probe no matter the program that opened the port.
