Nanaimo, BC | [BC] shaw undersea cable ShawSean-----how does Vancouver Island get its cable and internet from the mainland? Does it come to us through a undersea cable or over thoes big satellite dishes at shaws office.

EDIT: Alright well after a bit of searching around I found out that Canada actually invented underwater cable!

From everything i've seen, yes we have fiber lines running to Vancouver Island from the mainland. |

Not to mention, Shaw wouldn't be able to offer speeds higher than 6-7mbps with a satellite backhaul. |

kudos:1 | Yes, but when I was there, everybody refered to the Mainland as north of the Canadian boarder, so I didn't need to add where all the connections were, Seattle being outside that normal Mainland thinking, was worth saying...
