I was just curious if anyone from Cox could answer the following:
1.) Are we going to see a speed increase in the Cleveland area in the next 0-24 months?
2.) If yes, any idea as to a ball park timeframe? I honestly wouldn't mind just hearing "Maybe in 2014, but not this year" if that is the case.
I'm just curious. I see many markets have 100Mb and now 150Mb as part of their Ultimate tier. We obviously lack competition in the Cleveland area considering DSL and U-Verse can't touch cable speeds and there is only 1 cable company per city with some cities having WOW as an alternative to TWC or Cox. WOW, TWC and Cox all offer the same 50Mb / 5Mb speed.
100Mb would be nice to have for 99$ a month and 150Mb would make it a sweet deal. As it stands now 50Mb feels like I am paying too much for too little, but I am a sucker for the speed .

reply to inkarnat3 I heard a Rumor that ATT may be upping there speeds Soon in Cleveland lest that is what one of there reps told me..I chalked it up to just a rumor.. -- "It's called the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it."-George Carlin
I didn't realize that U-Verse offered 24Mb as their highest tier. I still think they need to faster and cheaper before the 3 cable providers in this area react.
As with many others, I wish FIOS was available. The speeds and prices they offer are amazing!
On another note, need any beta testers for 150Mb in Cleveland?
