| Westell 7550 Security Key change I have a 7550 with a big long security key, the key is displayed in the wireless security settings screen, and also it has a sticker on the bottom of modem. Can I change the security key to a more user friendly 'name/number' ? OR,,, does that original key have to stay active to allow the modem to communicate. |

No, changing the "original" key will have no affect on the modems ability to communicate via the wan.
Keep in mind the wifi clients and wifi router must use the same key
The "original key" is the factory default key.
If a factory reset is done the 7550 will use the factory default key. |
