Think again.

Google goes through every Gmail that’s sent or received, looking for keywords so they can target Gmail users with paid ads. And there’s no way to opt out of this invasion of your privacy.

Outlook.com is different—we don’t go through your email to sell ads.

after reading this thread, I added to Scroogle to my list of search engines, but can't get there.

Keep getting an error message that says "can't find server" or "can't connect to server".

Is that search engine or add-on or whatever it is still in business or still up and running?

Allow tried to connect to scroogle.com and can't get there either.

What's up?

Scroogle was a search engine that made Google searches anon.

"Scroogled.com" is a webpage ...not the same thing.

Okay, go it that scroogle as a search engine is dead and gone the way of many good things.

Moving on...

As to the Google extension for Firefox, do you have link for it?

=======================================

As to "scroogled.com", that site promotes Outlook.com as an alternative to Gmail.

How does Outlook.com compare with Hotmail.com? Sounds like they are both Microsoft operated webmail sites. Is there a difference between them?
