They are only concerned when it is inaccurate in the customers favor. If it's in there favor, just means more profit.
Did you read the part in the story where the inaccuracies ARE in the customers favor. So your whole premise is invalid. -- A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury.
