I updated the utility on my mac book pro no problems. The firmware update didn't work on my 1st Gen TC, over the wifi. I connected through ethernet directly and was able to update aok. My other 2 airport express devices then updated fine through wifi.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this with the new software v.7.6.3. I am on OS X 10.6.8 and I set up an IPv6 tunnel trough Hurricane Electric. I thought all was fine when I noticed that I was strictly running on IPv4. I did a little digging around on Google and found out that the new version has broken IPv6 tunneling. After reading about fixes for 10.7 and higher I simply decided to rollback to version 7.6.1 and all worked perfectly after that. So while I do not know what the fix is for 10.6 I did find a fix for version 10.7.x and higher here on Arstechnica. I hope it helps save some one time and pain. Here's the link...»arstechnica.com/apple/20 ··· -fix-it/ If anyone has any fixes for v10.6 I am all ears. Thanks...Paul
