Re: [All] Blizzards of '13

The pines are getting ready to pop in the next week or so. For a couple of days it will be like snow each time the wind blows. That's when we hope for rain to lessen the amount!!

My new housemate would disagree! Poor kid's been sneezing his fool head off all day, also lugging around heavy furniture and boxes! I kinda feel sorry for him. (The fact that he's moving in with me is notwithstanding. )

We havent really hit the pollen problem, yet! We did have wind on the water and I felt it when I was at work. But when I got home, (inland about 5 miles) wow! Little wind and the temp was great!

It's great. I won't even complain about the wind and pollen.

YEA!! Let the spring cleanup begin.

I started yesterday with raking. I also move my picnic table and lawn chairs into place. I have plenty to keep me outside now.

Most of the snow is gone. Yay! It reached 57 here today. I turned off the heat and left my front door open... just because!

Is it safe to put away the shovel and take down my driveway markers?

I have markers along the street to protect the front lawn. I took them down three weeks ago and had to put them back up for the storm two weeks ago and took them down again after that storm.

Winter is officially over when the snowblower is put to bed for the summer...that will happen this week!! YEA!! Let the spring cleanup begin.

Our plow guy took down all our driveway markers for us. They were cut at the ground level and held up by the snow. Now that the snow is melted the markers are laying on the ground. That $35 plow really cost us an extra $20 in markers!

This means you don't have to rake leaves this weekwend.

It melts to leave more fun.
Driveway is clear and I feel like a schmuck for shoveling part of it.

A few more boxes of twigs for the fireplace.

I'm just gonna go out and hang the Christmas lights back up. What is it, 4 or 5 months away from having to do it anyway?

Mine are still up out front of the glorious homestead, as the Mrs. said she 'didn't care'.

Just to freak out the PawSox fans, of course.

Replace them with a Permanent Multi-Colored Solution (tm).
