Just read a tweet that another "Nor'easter" is possible for Sunday. Though not at all confirmed but this is the third weekend in a row one was predicted. The recent "Blizzard" is the first.
Screw it, I am moving to the tropics.

When I was living in the SF Bay Area, I grew to miss this stuff.

Clearly, I was brain damaged.

During the 4-years I spent in the military was always in places without winter snow. I found I missed missed winter and the seasons.

My wife and I grew up in Chicago. Tales of cold New England winters aside it is warmer here and we get more snow then the Midwest. That is a good trade-off for me. If I have to be cold I'd much rather look out the window and see snow covered ground then bare dirt. Our friends who lived in Northern Wisconsin found out Propane does not vaporize at -37F.

Plus living in the boonies the snow stays pretty clean between snow falls, not like the brown crud in the city after a couple of days.

I got a "Tweet" saying the GFS has a big dumping predicted. The EURO model will give it's prediction around 1pm. I'll stick with what it predicts as it is usually more reliable then the GFS.

Right now, the EURO model is predicting the higher snow totals for the Boston area of the two models they are using. One model shows a lot of mixing for southern NE while the EURO shows mostly snow.

OUCH!!

The EURO just basically laughed at our "big storm" for the weekend. Faster moving and weaker. The fun never ends...

Depending on timing, I might be headed up to Westbrook to weather the storm out with a buddy. Don't feel like sitting at home alone for this one. This is getting crazy. Also, hopefully, the highways will be clear Sunday night. How about a nice weekday storm, for once?

Apparently now it's getting worse for Maine and less for Mass. And here I am still going up to Westbrook today. XD

Not to go to far in advance, but our local weather guy had this to say about later next week (bolded mine):

"After Wednesday we set into a classic blocking pattern with one of the biggest upper level lows I've ever seen spinning directly overhead. As I said yesterday, an upper level low of this size means one of two things: Either we are going to get one mega blizzard or 3-5 days of off and on snow and snow showers. I still don't know which one of the two options we will get...no one does. But I'm going to keep a close eye on it for you."

Yes, I am letdown too....I was hoping for another foot and a half of snow. Couldn't wait to fire up the snow-blower again and shovel all that heavy wet snow. We just ran out of luck!!

Sitting right on 33F today and coming down fast, heavy, wet over the last two hours. Pic shot from apt window @1:15p. Roads are reportedly greasy as hell but if you're truly feeling deprived then come on over to Durham,NH.

Well, I'm back from my trip, and amazingly - not even a flight delay. It snowed ~5" the day I left Boston, it was snowing the night/morning I left Amsterdam, and it was snowing when we landed in Boston again...

It was beautiful in Paris, though. 50F and sunny almost the whole time
