I feel for you guys. I hope you don't lose power. That storm just left Chicago this morning and we're lucky we only got hit with 5" of wet snow. -- You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, 'My God, you're right! I never would've thought of that!'
I hear there are power outages happening in CT, MA, and RI. Wind hasn't got up to speed here yet. The worst of the storm is expected at 11, with winds picking up to near 60. Maybe then we'll start having power outages. But so far, so good!
I moved my generator into place. I rarely use it though unless power is out for several hours. Otherwise, I have a battery that keeps my heat and a couple lights going in a power outage.

Yeah, it's hard to tell how much snow is on the ground when it's blowing this much. The drift between the two cars in front of my house is almost windshield-height. But there's only about 2 inches on parts of my front porch. I'm guessing we've got at least a foot.
Boston.com says Mass. has got 345,000 without power right now. The NSTAR outage map looks like the Cape is bearing the brunt of it - you guys must be really getting socked with the wind! -- My music blog
