My week 1 report (positive)
So coming from a history of Bell in the 90s (horrible experiences) and Teksavvy for the last several years (satisfied mainly) I now find myself a customer of E-Box.
My install went well, not without hiccups, but none of it as a result of E-Box.
My online experiences have been good, and setting up my service was simple. The technician that was sent out seemed average, not overly top of the class, but that is again, likely not something E-Box had any control over. The chap seemed capable enough, but when the Bell technician dropped by after to do the second stage whatever it is they do, he ended up needing to replace some in house wiring that clearly had needed replacing that I think the first technician should have realized in the first place for the dry loop arrangement.
Following that, my internet worked fine, but my profile was largely sorted out by a local friend that is also a Bell technician who likely has more talent than any one person has a right to
It was after all him, who in talking with me on the phone, was able to resolve some issues that should ideally speaking have been properly noticed and picked up on by the chap I spoke with online from Tech help with E-Box.
But I will state, that talking to the E-Box technician on the phone was an easy process, and my being able to converse in unaccented Canadian really pleased me. There was no wait time worth mention, it took longer going through the auto secretary than it did waiting on him. And I was able to call in twice as easily.
I will try and give a 3 month review when I eventually reach that point and follow up with how I have received the billing process and to verify that the service has been stable and consistent.
But as I type, I have no complaints.
My friend advising me to look into E-Box appears to have been a good idea.
