If this is a TSI only issue and it lasts as long as last time, then I think this may be the nail in the coffin and I'll be headed to start.

also out here (richmond near university)... I'm getting a little annoyed by the recent teksavvy outages in London. With the routing issue last week we were without internet for most of the day, and again now so soon after that... I love teksavvy, but it's times like this that I'm glad I have data on the Rogers network or I would be screwed... I know a couple hours without internet doesn't seem like a big deal, but an internet connection for a student is pretty important. Right now I'm studying for an exam that I have to write tomorrow morning, and without my cell phone acting as a hotspot I wouldn't have been able to get online to get exam info.

I wonder if this is a teksavvy issue, or if rogers customers are suffering as well. Gunna be pretty disappointed if this is another extended (teksavvy-specific) outage.

Outage here too... NE London. This is getting a bit ridiculous, it's happened 3 times in the last few weeks.

8? I wish. It was 3:30 till 8 in the morning the next day. It really sucks when you make your living working remotely 50% of the time as a developer. If I can't get onto the internet I can't work.

Well, at least if that's true it is probably Rogers fault. I always wonder about what that company actually drags their feet on when dealing with TPIA outages. I imagine, knowing Rogers shady business practices, that they don't move as quickly as they really could.

There has only been 1 other major outage in the past 3 weeks.

Last year we had like a 5 month stint of sub 2mbps speeds in London. I got a two week credit that still has yet to be applied to my account...
I used to brag about Teksavvy to everyone I knew. I'd have a hard time recommending them now.

It's hard to say whether the problem is TekSavvy or Rogers. If this issue seems to affect Distributel customers, I think that the problem may lay with Rogers, but I wouldn't be able to say for sure... What I can say for sure is this:

The IP that your connection seems to stop at is within the TekSavvy network. If the next hop is Toronto then it's anyone's guess as to where the issue lies... Sad really that I can't be more definitive as to where the issue is.

Apparently the TSI manager read my mind. I posted a plea to hear from them the same time they posted.
