Re: Generator Time!!!I had to clear the junk left by the second pass of the snowplow and I got quite a workout, even with the snowblower. I don't know how people in poor health can get by if they cannot afford a snowblower. My former neighbor in Iowa is in poor health and he finds himself shoveling out. If I still lived there, I would use my snowblower on his driveway and mow his lawn in the summer and I would not charge him. He has severe asthma and he can barely breathe (a phone call lasts five minutes before he ends up using the albuterol). I, myself am not in the greatest health either as I have a mild case of cerebral palsy and I'm overweight and I could not do it with the shovel. I don't want my mother shoveling as she is at risk of a heart attack (female over 50).
I had to clear out the mailbox cluster AGAIN!!! If you don't clear it out, return to sender, undeliverable as addressed. I don't get much mail at the house as I have a PO Box but the occasional important piece of mail comes to the house. There is four mailboxes on the cluster, two for our duplex and two for the neighboring duplex (which is owned by a different landlord).
That snowblower was the best $500 I've ever spent. I bought it on layaway in the summer of 2009 when Sears was getting rid of the previous winter's inventory. I brought it home in a compact car and damaged it on the way. I had to replace a part on it that set me back $12 (a plastic clip that holds the cables). If I could do it over again, I would have gotten a larger one but this one will do. |
