Well, there could be some slight variation in manufacturing. I couldn't imagine any difference between one 6120 to another. XD

The SBG6580 is also an N WiFi router but it's not nearly as reliable as a standalone router. As, andyross stated, you don't have full control. The advantage is 8 channel bonding over the 4 on 6120.

Look at the SB6141, as it's the latest model over 6120. This has 8 channel bonding.

You never know if they will take away a feature. I believe on one model, parental control options were removed recently.

those figures are from the docsis 3.0 specification. not sure if they are limits or minimum capabilities though.

Please accept my apology. I thought you were trolling; now I see that perhaps you really didn't know that a 0 dVmv DS power level is the optimum value instead of a problem. I almost always see all 0 dBmv values for the DS power levels in my SB6121. That is in fact the optimum level. Perhaps if you had actually asked a question instead of trying to be a cute little troll, you might have received an education sooner. [att=2]

n_w95482 posted : My old SB6120 used to mostly read around 0 on the downstream channels. My current SB6121 is usually about 4 dBmV higher. I'm guessing it has a more sensitive tuner than the old one, or the old one was getting worn out or something.

Only thing that could be better is US power level. Under 50 is ideal and one is under and one is above.

I doubt it would have any connection issues though as even if the high one dropped the other would maintain.
