cant receive mail
I am not able to send mail but am able to recieve, I am out of town and at a friends and for some reason each time I come here I can send out any mail,
I get an error saying mail not allowed from..............
I believe you need to change your outgoing SMTP server information to match the ISP that your friend is using.
The cogeco SMTP server (smtp.cogeco.ca) will only work while your connected to your home Cogeco internet service.
What ISP are they using?

The simplest solution is to use Cogeco's webmail. You log into your mail account from a www browser.
go here: »www.cogeco.ca/web/on/en/residential/
click on "Webmail and My Account" on the upper-right of your screen.
All the problems of pop and smtp go away. You can send and receive your Cogeco mail from anywhere on the planet.
