| [WIN8] Devices and Printers can't remove old router. Under Devices it shows my old WNR3500L router. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it yet it still shows the old router name. I even went into the C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceMetadataCache and deleted that folder. I then reinstalled the network device and it showed WNDR4300L great until I rebooted the machine and now it is showing the old router icon and name. I even deleted the icon cache.
On my mothers Windows 7 machine it even shows two devices with one grayed out with the WNR3500L router and no matter what I do I can't remove it.
Everything works fine it is just a slight annoyance. |
