 | reply to tristen1230 any more testers needed in Sidney area? (Belleville) I just got posted from Kingston where I had Teksavvy DSL, but unfortunately I just got off the phone with Teksavvy customer service and they told me the sync rate for DSL at my new place was pretty low. Would love to stay with teksavvy if possible, Great customer service btw! |

 | reply to tristen1230 Seems they fixed the 2 Mbps problem. The server is now in Detroit for me and I still get the great download but the upload went down.
This happen to anyone else? |
|
 | My IP is also geolocating to Detroit now instead of NWT. Speeds remain the same though, 20/2 as they have been regardless of time of day for me. |

SpeedTest.net Results ---------------------- Connection struggles at 3-5Mbps then jumps up

This ones not bad
Followed by a WTF shortly after
SideNote: The graphs for my DSL are very flat, but the cable ones look like a mountain range
UPDATE: I've rebooted the modem (unplugged it for a while) I've reset the modem (used a toothpick to press the button on the back) Put a new snap&seal end (same ones Cogeco uses) on the incoming coax.
The only change is my Return path channel id changed to 3.
Download has been 8.##, 9.##, 8.##, 11.## and this:
Also I know all the posted tests are Bayfield, its the one SpeedTest.net set and choosing a closer server didn't result in better speeds. ---------------------------------------------------

EDIT: Just noticed in my event log I'm getting a notice: TLV-11 - unrecognized OID;CM-MAC= |

Just hooked up to 14Mbps/1Mbps about 4 hours ago. This is with the wife's Vuze running. It's a big improvement over DSL.
DSL is now cancelled. No more Bhell money. At least Cogeco doesn't get theirs directly. With their prices and caps I would never have gone with them.
The install went smoothly. The ordering process was smooth. I received the modem the day before I got the email confirmation. Then there was the big wait because I wanted a Saturday install. |

dchdrakePremium join:2005-04-29 Windsor, ON | reply to dchdrake Reset the modem tonight. I didn't check before but I am now getting 20/2. Down varied between 17 - 20, up was 2 or close to it. My wife is back downloading so no decent speedtest to post. |

I started beta testing on Feb. 25. I'm aware of no issues. Speeds are 20.0 download and 2.0 upload, ping between 15-35. I included cable modem signal codes. Any information will be welcome. |

So after 1 week of solid performance I feel that I do not need to watch the blue lights any longer and have moved the new modem to our cross connect board.
