99 Accord - driver-side mirror hit

It looks like someone clipped my driver-side mirror overnight flipping it forward. It didn't crack the plastic or the mirror itself, but seems to have been hit hard enough that the indents that lock it forward, backward, or in the normal position no longer grab or hold it in place.

Is this fixable or is the only practical solution to just replace the mirror ? It actually appears that I can get a replacement mirror for under $30 off of eBay.

Some mirror assemblies like this use ball bearings as the catches, and detents in the mirror and base pivot surfaces engage those to hold it in the normal (out) driving position.

If your setup has these, those bearings may have been knocked out and they're on the ground somewhere... if you find all three you MIGHT be able to pop them back in.
