Something smells fishy. No clue, what number would not sound fishy? 3 years? -- If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. - Albert Einstein |

vincom join:2009-03-06 Bolton, ON | its not an 8yr contract, it an 8yr price lock.........but i agree, something not right, rogers knows something that we dont, there could be a price war coming on with the agregate-tpia implementation |

Maybe it allows (forces) the TPIA's to be less competitive with the incumbents?
I'm not sure how the wholesaling works, but there must be a reason why Teksavvy or Start can be so inexpensive, compared to Rogers -- If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. - Albert Einstein |

| reply to monkeywork Rogers will definitely beat whatever bell is offering, give it some time. Rogers has always been the lesser of the two evils. Also I've heard from people that bell's unlimited is actually 1TB, not sure if its true but that's what I have been hearing... I wanna see someone use at least 2TB on bell and show the bill as proof that its actually unlimited with no fair usage crap. |

I talked to "accounts" yesterday around 4PM. These are the people that make account changes not the frontline tech support rookies.
Anyhoo, the $45 deal was alive and well and available for new customers only. No mention of any expiry period. They just renewed this thing 2 weeks ago (so we heard) so to end it on a dime now makes no sense.
I talked to this guy there for 15 minutes and he sounded like he knew what he was doing. He definitely had the authority to make any changes to my account I wanted.
But then, with Rogers, who knows??? |
